This is an OEM version of the older Crucial MX300 series. Micron warranty is through the seller for OEM stuff (think HP, Dell, etc; Micron drives/RAM sold retail are always labeled Crucial). So if this fails after the return period you will have to contact Deus PC, Micron won't help you because this was never meant to be sold directly to consumers.

You could get this same drive from Rakuten for $230 a week ago.

I've taken advantage of this deal with Rakuten in the past. They work fine.

Trying to figure out why the market is flooded with these "cheap" 2TB SSDs...are they bad? Older stock? Factory seconds? Other?

market is flooded with all 2.5 SSDs

supply caught up, demand dropped off a cliff bc manufacturers are moving to M2 to achieve slimmer laptop profiles

They're good. Been around along time. Crucial SSD drives are a Micron brand.

This is not a good drive, would never recommend. DO NOT BUY. i bought one thinking it was good, it's so slow!
It's gotta be faster than a physical HDD right? Or a 5 yr old 256 GB SSD? Need to upgrade my Plex server.
