I own one, Got it for $800 less $80 in cash back, just to see it go back to $900 or $1000 after I got mine. Great unit. I use it for Makita chain saw. This is fantastic price!
Lol. A propane powered chainsaw...

Will it be too loud for camping? Trying to bring my projector with me for camping
Don't take this wrong but that would be stupid to buy this generator for(really any for the money spent for the want). Okay now with a solution, just buy a nice inverter say around $50 can find then between 500-1000 watts. They had a nice 1000 watter on Amazon a while back for $30, I got one of them to add to my smaller ones. I'm on moble or I would link you, will try to do that later.

Btw, my nephew bought the same one as well at my recommendation that's actually how I found the ones recently, he took it camping for a week and use it for his blender think it was 700w blender and it did flawlessly he said.

doesn't look like any 220 output huh? Too bad. I could really use that to power a couple circuits in the house when the power is out.
This has parallel output. It would be an expensive option, but you can run 2 of these with a parallel cable to connect them together and then you have your 240v output.

If only this had remote start too. Bought the non dual fuel Champion with remote start last year. Wanted this one but it was $240 more at the time. Now that I have had remote start, don't know that I want to move to one without it. Dang. Sweet price for this unit. So tempting. This has hovered around 980 to 1k for the last year on Amazon IIRC.

Good deal. I've been watching the same generator from the same seller (VMInnovations) on Ebay for several months. Lowest price was 900 back in September. On the fence to grab it or wait for the DF Duromax Inverter to go back down. I can run it parallel to my other Duromax inverter and get 4k with 50A out. Looking to finish an off grid RV setup. Hoping to run off RV tanks with the DF. Also let's me only run one if I'm not pushing the AC and save some LP.

if Propane is the function you most want and do not need the Inverter or quite output, then the Home Depot deals on the sportsmans might be a better choice. You can add the 2 year plan for $50. So for the $279 duel fuel 4000W, with a warranty (that you can bring it back to Home Depot ) for $329 is a better deal in my opinion. Just buy a $50 power cord and put that sucker 50 feet away to reduce the noise.

EDITED:

NVM, That deal expired. The price went to to $369 for the duel fuel option for the 369. Add 3 years plan for $60, brings it to $429. Still not bad deal, but it was $100 cheaper yesterday. Also now that its above $300, the warranty is better as home depot guarantees that they will fix it.

If I am wanting to surprise my husband with a generator for Christmas, would this be a good one in the following scenario? Largish home loses power for 4 days and we're all electric. While we don't need to run the entire home, keeping the lower level warm enough for the kids with a couple of space heaters and keeping 2 standup fridges and a freezer going, is our goal. We have plenty of wood and propane tanks and sometimes a few tanks of gas around for the lawn mower. Is this sufficient for that? Thanks!

The Pulsar 4000W seems to be a better deal with more wattage and remote start. The only advantage of this one is the Propane option and slightly less noisy.

Not sure which to pick up but I would want more watts

I'd probably wait for others to chime in but I am pretty sure this is not going to cut it.

Space heaters use a lot of energy, refrigerators use a lot of energy on startup and then use about 1/4th of the startup energy while running.

I would think you could safely get by running 1 fridge + 1 decent size space heater + a few small electronic devices on one of these.
