Our Ninja (different model than this; Nutri Ninja Auto iQ) sounds like a jet engine each morning. We have to do a count-down so the kids can run to a room on the other side of the house. Are all Ninja blenders super loud?

I'm thinking of getting something different just for quality of life (blending frozen fruits, almond butter, etc). Maybe Vitamix is less loud?

Yes. I have two different models and they're both very loud.

All high powered blenders are loud (blentec, Vitamix, ninja, etc) except if you are willing to spend $1500+.

It sounds like a feature. Your kids probably love playing that game every morning.

Do yourself a favor and handwash the lids. The dishwasher is too hot for the rubber seals and they will eventually melt off. Your dishes will have melted black globs stuck on them.

That being said, I still recommend them based on their price to performance ratio

Is this better for shakes as opposed to a Magic Bullett? I think Ninja is better with ice??

actually, the vitamix 7500 refurbished cost 250 on the vitamix website and it is surprisingly not that loud.
