First time posting a deal so hopefully I am doing this correctly.

Saw this on the Lowe's website and thought I would share it in case anyone was looking for tools. There is another item on the website with the exact same information however that 227 piece kit is listed for $199.00. Not sure what the difference is but doing a compare on the website the tool list looks identical, only difference i can see is the tool box looks a little different.

Looks like a great kit for a good price.

Anyone have this? wondering how the drawers hold up for abuse, wouldn't want this opening if it lived in the back of a car.

This is cheaper than the 225 harbor freight mechanic tool kit too.

Last few times this has been on sale you could get it down to around $80 with $20 off code - might need a small filler though. Decent deal on the tools but the box is junk.

EDIT: PM me if you need help with the coupon. Against the rules to post.

#2: Sorry guys - on top of not being able to see thumbnails in the app anymore I'm not getting notified of PMs either. It's a little late but I do believe I replied to all of you. Let me know if you still need any help.

Picked this up a few days ago. From reading reviews I think they discontinued it because the handle on top was failing. The tools are exactly the same they just made the box/handle sturdier.

Agreed the box is my least favorite thing about the set. It's a little finicky, the drawers can slide out (no lock or anything to hold them in place if moving from room to room). The handle and latches for the top don't feel very secure. I've never had it break on me, but I've intentionally been careful when transporting and not care-free.

I would get with a coupon, but otherwise in hindsight I would go with large husky set that goes on sale, or otherwise a Dewalt.

I would just make sure that it's still made in Taiwan, and not China now. If it is, then it's a good set.

SD prohibits posting links to coupon generating sites, try google searching. take you 10 seconds tops to find a site

Because generated coupons essentially steal one-time-use coupon codes from their innocent intended recipients.
