The Price on Groupon is now $169

Interesting to note - this Groupon offer at 180 appears to be seller refurb as well

Comes with a 90 day warranty - Manf Refurb is 1 year
Support is through the seller - Not iRobot
Packaged Batteries hold a charge - interesting to add to a Manf refurb product

I have had the 650 for about 5 years now. It is a solid machine. I had to change the battery after about three years, which cost me about $45.

I wish the compartment was a little bigger. I have a dog and cat and the roomba runs just through the living area (probably about 1100 sqft tops) and it gets filled everyday. The brush also needs to be cleaned about once a month. Tons of hair gets wrapped up. I think the rubber brush on the newer models greatly limits that. Other than that, it is a good machine. I have it to run every weekday while we are at work. Ive looked to upgrade but cant justify the cost of some of the new ones.

any dog poop sensors yet? Too many horror stories of presents being left on a rug and the rooba getting "destroyed" by doo doo

This deal worked out rather well for me. I purchased two -- one for the first floor and one for the basement. With two dogs, I'm fighting hair everywhere. Now I have both vacs running daily at 1AM and wake-up to a house that is CLEAN. For less than $400, I save myself 30-minutes every morning since I don't have to vacuum. That alone is worth it!

Do these work well on carpet? Maybe medium length (fairly normal residential length)...not shag or Berber?

How does the Roomba compare to other brands?
