The saw is normally $149, and the battery is normally $50.

Deal also available on a number of other M12 tools where you just get the battery for free.

Don't knock it til you try it..You can cut 2-by lumber and just about any plywood. It's actually pretty impressive given its size. https://youtu.be/3x4KzhGMGgg?t=401

It's light, and extremely convenient.. great for renovation where you might have to cut a piece of subfloor out, cut plywood to size, cut laminate or hardwood flooring planks during install.. etc.

I wouldn't recommend it if you're trying to frame a house or build a deck (though it could probably manage, just slower), but outside of that it's a very capable little saw.

Note that this deal is for a bare tool (tool only without battery or charger) with a free bonus battery. If you don't already have an M12 charger, like from a drill/impact kit, then you'll have to buy one.

I use this saw often as a remodel carpenter. It's rad for such a small saw. My worm drive skilsaw hasn't been used since I bought this. I travel lots for work and such a light handy saw is worth having. If I had to use a saw all day I would get a beefier saw, but I cut 2x and ply with it no problem. It won't bevel cut a 2x very deep either.

It is gutless with the compact batteries. I personally don't even put compact batteries in my saw and would definitely recommend using only XC batteries. The compact batteries will do in a pinch, but they make the saw feel gutless.

I would replace the saw if it disappeared.

It's not a bad saw, but it is only 12v, so you have to know what you're getting. And run time isn't great with the 2ah battery.
This is a good price for this saw though

Eh, yeah, I would think twice about buying a circular saw on a 12v battery system. Like how quickly or how thick of wood can you really cut with this?

This saw has its uses. Plywood and smaller dimensional lumber (2x4) but anything larger you should be at 18v minimum or corded

What do you think for replacing six deck boards from time to time?

Really this is for people who use the m12 system already. There are better or cheaper saws on other systems but I don't care because I really can't run more than 2 or 3 battery systems and I need a light weight saw to keep in my box for small projects. It isn't a worm drive skil or a table saw or a compound mitre, but it looks like a very well built compact saw that uses same Batts as my drills.

As a home DIYer I couldn't be happier with this. Cuts 2x4 lumber . Cuts plywood. Put a diablo blade or a the new Milwaukee blade on it. Very light weight.
If you try to push it too hard it will stall but go at a decent pace, let the tool do the work and its great

Have this saw, used it on several projects. It's small, maneuverable and light. You will feel the lack of power on this unit though.

Usually if HD shows it as one item you won't be able to return the battery separately. I'm going to drop by HD tomorrow and see if they will do the same deal in store
