99.999...% hair dryers, being sold, in the US market says 1875 watts. It is a kind of gold standard for hair dryers these days..

Most Modern Day homes and apartments are wired for 20 amps in the kitchen & bathroom(most common).

Also voltage is in the US is 120+(most common)...mine reads 122.

So to recap - 120 X 20amps = 2400+ watts...more than adequate.

Threadcrapping is BS.

1,875 watts? Time to burn some houses down via electrical fires in the breaker box.

For those who don't know US Voltage 115 x 15 (most common) amp breakers = 1725 watts.

I wouldn't be surprised if the concentrator is loose like this one.

This dryer is light and easy to clean. Retractable cord stopped working after 1 yr of use but that hasn't bothered me.

EDIT: Not threadcrapping. Every house, apartment, and mobile home I've ever lived in have had 15 amp breakers, and the most recent one was built in 2009. Believe it or not, it has 15 amp breakers and measures about 115 to 16 volts.
What region do you live in? Must be a local code thing to have only 15 amp breakers. All the places that I've lived had 20 amp.

Last year $7 regular cord at walmart was better. Mine still works. Beats paying $30-50+ for cheapest at bloodbath and beyond. Those expensive dont last long for me.
