I am on their email list now. It is about once a week although that may increase during the holidays.

Google is actually pretty good about not spamming. I had to double check that I was even signed up for marketing emails because I couldn't remember the last time they'd sent something. Also, they allow for granular selections and make it super easy to turn off everything:

No restrictions? Sometimes the prices from vendor store and google store are different and jacked up so there is no real slick deal there...

I should have spent more time wording the title in my post. Was posted 4 hours before you and had 1 or 2 down votes. Go figures...

How does G-express work exactly? Are they brokers like Amazon or something?

Yeah pretty much as far as I've seen. but I believe they have minimum order totals per store for free shipping, not just your cart total

Just because you don't get emails don't think for a minute that Google isn't data raping you every time they get a chance. The US needs EU privacy laws enacted immediately, but they've bought a ton of politicians and they're trying to cover up their thieving ways...

there's a reason you don't hear Google's old slogan - do no evil - and that's because they don't believe in that anymore...
The more pressing question would be - who isn't data raping you? What makes you so sure that your email provider, or even SD, isn't doing it. Which computer, which site, which company is unhackable? Which company is "not" evil? People think a company is safe until news later of a few months, or years of hacking or data misused has been uncovered.
