I have the doorbell and must say I am very impressed with it. The videos are crystal clear and the audio both ways is very intelligible.

Their website says recording requires $4.99 plan or Interactive Monitoring. I don't own one but maybe someone that does can chime in with better details

Sorry, no SD card slot. Only subscription monitoring is available.

This is tempting. I was upset you needed the $24.99 interactive plan just to be able to control via Google Home

I'd avoid these, it's just door chimes and window chimes for $200+ and a subscription for "real" monitoring. I've personally installed these multiple times for multiple client and I am truly disappointed in the quality/cost/functionality of this product.

The Ring Doorbell Pro (Non HDR, 1080P) or Nest Hello (HDR, 1080P) are much better investments.

Is there any security system that will allow me to get real-time alerts/video/audio on my phone without having a subscription?

I don't need to pay someone to monitor for me when I can do it myself if they just send me email/push notifications for free.

Hmmm....Pretty sure I looked into Ring, Nest, etc a few months ago and none of them offered a way to get real-time notifications, along with real-time video/audio from the device without some type of monthly subscription.

I have no need for saving videos in the cloud for more than 24h and have no need for a 3rd party company to monitor my stuff considering I always have a cell phone in my pocket, thus, any type of subscription plan is just giving away money that can be saved.
