mrkiki911 review: I will be returning my TV. The ghosting is very bad. Just using the Roku Menu can give you a headache.

I used a continuous burst on my camera (while scrolling through the Roku menu) to capture the ghosting images. My 5 year old sharp Aquos 1080p did not have this ghosting issue. I tried the camera test on both TVs and the sharp just shows a nice white image, no leftover letters.

It seems this TV goes on sale not infrequently, though this is the cheapest I see it. Searching for it here will result a few threads, such as:

Common wisdom is that, sure, there's no HDR and Sceptre is not the greatest and bestest brand of TV...but then again, $800 isn't a lot for a huge TV like this. Is it worth spending a lot extra to buy better? The lack of SmartTV features might also hurt some, but I think if we're being honest with ourselves we're all likely to use Roku/Fire Sticks/whatever else more often than not.

Edited to add: A special consideration not present in those above linked threads is that Black Friday/Cyber Monday is right around the corner. Perhaps we sit and wait for that instead of hopping on this?

My tv stand can only hold so much tv. I wonder if my neighbors will chip in since they could watch it from across the road?

Considering this one, or the 75" Samsung at Costco:

The Fry's and BJ's deals look better, but neither exist in the DC region. I'm sure the Samsung is a better TV, but is it ~60%-More-Expensive better?

Any way to know how long this deal will last?

It says if I order it now, ship-to-store, it will arrive on the 16th. I'm tempted to do that, and if there are better options by then, just return it instead of picking it up.

Isn't the $729 costco 70 inch vizio deal much better than this one.
Vizio even has HDR10 and smart function??

No smart TV function is a deal breaker for me. My family watched OTA TV and internet TV. Too messy with too many controls.

I've gone as far as hooking computer speakers to the TV to save on less remotes!
You sound like you need a Logitech Harmony remote. Any will do.

Link? And I think folks underestimate the difference between 70 and 75" TV. Every inch matters

The Vizio E series is so much better than this TV. Give up the 5 inches.
