Everything posted so far, that books are a cheaper alternative, that it's cheap plastic, and that it works well are all true. I have this device and it took a while to get used to but it's helped out my posture a ton. It's adjustable in that you can add/subtract 2 inch pieces of legs and the slot in the front is actually good for holding phones and tablets upright.
