You should never microwave plastic! It breaks down the chemicals and leeches into food.

Get the take alongs with the red lids instead. Similar price and they perform well in the microwave and dishwasher. Everyday price is about the same and they come in a lot of sizes. Check your local stores. why this deal is FP is beyond me...
