People are reporting the drives that come in it are 10TB WD White WD100EMAZ-00WJTA0 that are essentially same as WD RED's but MAY require mod for NAS use. Some are saying mod is not needed for 10tb like it was 8tb
For 3.3V mod:

For the drive; inside are white label WDC WD100EMAZ-00WJTA0 drives with 5400RPM and 256MB cache. So basically a rebranded for Best Buy 10TB Elements since they have the same exact drive according to another post I found.

WD Red drives are optimized for NAS storage, RAID, backup and streaming.
WD Blue are typical internal desktop drive, WD Black for internal desktop performance, WD Purple for camera surveillance storage, and WD Gold for enterprise applications

RED label Western Digital drives are designed more for 24/7 RAID storage.

Green - Office/Backup/General
Blue - Slightly higher performance/General Workstation/Gaming
Red - Server/RAIDs/ 24x7 operations/NAS
Black - Performance/CAD Workstations/High-End Gaming

Weird ones:

Purple - NAS/Video Recording 24/7 (Think of a life of a Red but cheaper slower speed of a Green)
Gold - Servers/Data Centers - Enterprise-Level - High Life

Yea they should be cheaper I'm thinking. If it was around $160, then it'd be like the 8tb bf deal. Lol unless that usb drive is really worth $20 then mehh

What drive is inside of these things? Is it the same type as the 8TB easystore?
