For those considering the new Google Home Hub.....this is a better deal IMO.

Does anyone know if you can have it display only certain photos from Google photos? For example, can you create a custom album and have it display only those as a screensaver, to act essentially as a digital photo frame?
yes, you designate the album to show (Hub anyway...does the lenovo have this feature?)

how's the audio comparison, since you've had both? obviously not expecting anything ground breaking... but if it's where the Echos are, that's fine (hopefully more mids and less lows than the stupid Echo Show.)

really wish Wyze would make something for the Google devices already... would like to dump my Echo Shows, they're really pieces of crap.
I returned my home hub, audio was unbelievably poor. A home mini was multiples superior. Home hub sounds like you're playing music out if an iPhone 4

I expect Google Hub to be $99 for black friday. Google Home started at $199 IFIRC and you can now get them on Ebay for $60.

The Lenovo has video calls. Other than that, most reviews give it to the Hub.

I have Google Home, Home mini, Philips Hue, TP Link Smart plugs, etc. The more different brands you get, the more difficult and complicated it is to use. I'm going to stick to Phillips Hue and Google brand stuff as much as I can. That being said, this offer is very tempting.

There is really no reason to buy electronics in November before Black Friday. I seriously doubt many items will be on sale now for lower than Black Friday, unless they are clearing stock for new things to be discounted in Black Friday.

HD already had the hub for $99. Walmart, target and more will have it for $99 on BF (probably before). I don't think the original home ever sold for $199.

I bought a 10" about a week ago for $175 and so far I am happy with it. I really intended to use it for the kitchen but my counters are just too tiny, so I found it a shelf elsewhere. This was the 5th Home device in my home (2 minis, 2 regular homes). The screen is super nice. The camera has a physical cover for the paranoid. Microphone performance is great. Speaker performance is somewhere half way between the mini and the regular home.

In the last couple of years there have been many examples of items on sale a week or two before black Friday cheaper than black Friday or after.

I really wish one of these would have a small battery, it would be nice to have the battery to move it from room to room, but my primary concern would be power outage when using it as an alarm clock, yeah i have the phone as a backup, but it would have been so easy to just add a small battery pack and power save mode.

My wife says the 8" isn't big enough, she wants a 10" one. Anyone know if that is going on sale?

This phrase is begging to be replied with a joke.

Yes the Lenovo does. It just came out with an update that makes it almost identical to the Google Home Hub

You can!
I have to reiterate. The google home hub dimming is amazing. definitely best for bedside. It feels like the brightness is reading your mind. I am getting this for the kitchen for video calls.
