I prefer the older-style keyboards. How is the keyboard performing?

I got one of these "warnings" from BB last month and for that reason I won't shop there anymore.

I made several returns and all but one were due to a defect or fault of the store...
1.The edwin rubber duck was missing parts despite being a NEW product.
2. Alienware laptop did not have full warranty as was promised by the salesman (hah)
3. A price match on a switch game that couldn't be done normally bexause I have GCU... So they did a return and rebuy... Not really alone thing I have an issue with... But probably did play a part.
4. Returned one MacBook due to announcement of the keyboard defect.

The $$ adds up to alot... But I would hardly call my activity fraudulent.

(my main purchases are games)

BB forces you to sign on the machine indicating that you got this "warning" before processing the final return... Then you get a receipt indicating rhat you may be denied future returns.

For reference, I've Actually returned items to home depot (another retail equation client)... Thousands of $ of things usually due to incompatibility... But no defects. No issue there at all.

All I can offer is my anecdote. I leave you SDers to make the final call.

But for reference, my go-to stores (costco, target, and microcenter) have become the only places I go to on BF now. They treat me like a customer and not a nuisance.
An excellent example of why people should really think before spending any money at Best Buy.

Yeah, the "only chronic, scamming returners get hit with this" trope is definitely inaccurate. I got it early this year. When I got my return activity report, I found out that they banned me for a total of 3 returns over a two year period, totaling under $100. Two of the items were defective, and one was because I bought something a week before Black Friday during a sneak peak sale and then they ended up lowering the price again during Black Friday, so I bought it again and returned the original since they wouldn't match. I'd spent enough in both years to be Elite Plus.

I won my appeal, which apparently is hard to do.

I can understand using retail equation if you're a retailer, but I was unable to make returns for a year at Home Depot because I had a habit of purposefully buying more stuff than I needed to finish a project, and returning the excess.

Buying extra plumbing fittings is a perfect example. You don't want to have to run back to the store because it turns out you need 11 elbow fittings instead of 10. So I'd buy 10% extra and return everything I didn't use afterwards.

Not OK according to retail equation's algorithms.

Feel free to link to that, because I looked and the cheapest are 50-used and bids.. everything else is 60-100+ all used

Usually I'd say "no standardized keycaps, no deal". But I do see that Logitech offers replacements sets of keycaps for this keyboard, so that's nice.

I may snag one.

Have been using this almost daily over the last year and change and have been extremely happy with it. Would definitely recommend.

I have this keyboard, love it. Not too loud, but it's definitely a mechanical keyboard. I like that it has a wheel to control the volume on the keyboard, plus a "gaming" button that disables the windows key and whatever else you decide to disable via the software. I don't really use any other features, the sky blue backlight is fine with me, though it does change depending on what game you play (think it turns purple for Borderlands). Only issue I have (had?) is that the keyboard would turn the backlight on after some time or flicker if I turned it off. It's been a while since I tried turning it off as I have since gotten used to the backlit keys, and I think there was an update for the software... it's just been a while since I last shut off the backlight.

I guess what I'm saying is that I recommend the keyboard, though it may have issues with the backlight if you try disabling it.
