I'd think twice about purchasing anything from Best Buy as they're making returns much more difficult, even with a receipt.

No, they've been using TRE for like 5 to 10 years.

Yeah, the "only chronic, scamming returners get hit with this" trope is definitely inaccurate. I got it early this year. When I got my return activity report, I found out that they banned me for a total of 3 returns over a two year period, totaling under $100. Two of the items were defective, and one was because I bought something a week before Black Friday during a sneak peak sale and then they ended up lowering the price again during Black Friday, so I bought it again and returned the original since they wouldn't match. I'd spent enough in both years to be Elite Plus.

I won my appeal, which apparently is hard to do.
Bestbuy, its name is ironic. Sadly its the consumers right to return and refund without any repercussion. It's wrong they put a 14 day return on everything regardless if its electronic or not. Their retail price tag is 10 to 15 percent higher. Places like Walmart gives you 90 days and simple base questions with or without a receipt. God they've even taken returns not even sold by them. Bestbuy is driven by greed and can only be a best buy when demand is low on a product no one wants any longer. And i hate Walmart, but its better in terms of the customer. Its too bad Circuit City went out of business

Yep. Circuit City, Compusa/TigerDirect, RadioShack (heck, even HHGregg) - love them or hate them, but it was very good to have them around.

I especially miss the TigerDirect - even if commissioned salespeople were sometimes bugging me during visits there, whenever I needed some part urgently and could not wait for delivery by NewEgg/AMZN, TigerDirect would have it in stock the same day worship

I have this keyboard, love it. Not too loud, but it's definitely a mechanical keyboard. I like that it has a wheel to control the volume on the keyboard, plus a "gaming" button that disables the windows key and whatever else you decide to disable via the software. I don't really use any other features, the sky blue backlight is fine with me, though it does change depending on what game you play (think it turns purple for Borderlands). Only issue I have (had?) is that the keyboard would turn the backlight on after some time or flicker if I turned it off. It's been a while since I tried turning it off as I have since gotten used to the backlit keys, and I think there was an update for the software... it's just been a while since I last shut off the backlight.

I guess what I'm saying is that I recommend the keyboard, though it may have issues with the backlight if you try disabling it.
Is the wheel customizable to something other than volume, like scrolling?

I got one of these "warnings" from BB last month and for that reason I won't shop there anymore.

I made several returns and all but one were due to a defect or fault of the store...
1.The edwin rubber duck was missing parts despite being a NEW product.
2. Alienware laptop did not have full warranty as was promised by the salesman (hah)
3. A price match on a switch game that couldn't be done normally bexause I have GCU... So they did a return and rebuy... Not really alone thing I have an issue with... But probably did play a part.
4. Returned one MacBook due to announcement of the keyboard defect.

The $$ adds up to alot... But I would hardly call my activity fraudulent.

(my main purchases are games)

BB forces you to sign on the machine indicating that you got this "warning" before processing the final return... Then you get a receipt indicating rhat you may be denied future returns.

For reference, I've Actually returned items to home depot (another retail equation client)... Thousands of $ of things usually due to incompatibility... But no defects. No issue there at all.

All I can offer is my anecdote. I leave you SDers to make the final call.

But for reference, my go-to stores (costco, target, and microcenter) have become the only places I go to on BF now. They treat me like a customer and not a nuisance.
I'm pretty sure TRE factors in your return patterns from all retailers that use them, which includes Best Buy, Home Depot, and others. So your thousands of $ in Home Depot returns could have played a role in your Best Buy warning. Also you didn't mention if you had a receipt for all these returns. Doing a return without a receipt is a red flag for TRE so it's best to do that no more than maybe once a year across all retailers that use them.

I have been shopping for a new keyboard for the last few months. My Logitech g710+ is over 6 years old and needs replaced. I have tried quite a few and I really like the Romer-g keys. However I won't purchase the 910 because the device itself was introduced in 2014 and they did a slight redesign in 2016. I believe this has been on sale quite a lot in the last few months, this is the lowest, because they are probably going to introduce a replacement in the next few months. This is just my 2 cents though. I like the g513 but I want media keys like the 910 has.

I owned the g710+ before buying one of these g910s. Amazing keyboard. I love it. Feels amazing, feels solid.

Never ever return without a receipt. Definitely Step 1 to being a SDer is to keep good records! Favorite retailers do not need receipts.

Despite being part of TRE, Home Depot has no present issues with my returns; like other DIYers, I overbuy fittings and building materials in order to avoid multiple trips during a major project. It would make no sense for them to have issues with me bringing back unused 2x4s or excess tees/elbows/etc.

Im about $500 from maintaining my BB Elite membership through 2019, but what is the point of longer return windows if they wont take them?

I'm pretty sure they had sales just like this last year. I'm not saying don't wait, I'm just saying the sale looks pretty familiar.

I've had this keyboard for a month. Can confirm it's starting to do double keystrokes. Very annoying when playing fps. I'm past the 14 day return period at BB. Never shopping there again. They're overpriced anyway.

The Spectrum's a BB exclusive, and the differences are minor.
