Got me all excited 'cause I have been looking for a new chair, then brickseek dashed my hopes with zero in stock in a hundred-mile circle.

I have had this chair before. It looks nice and is reasonably well put together, but the padding wears out in about a year.

So a couple of the stores around me showing 0 for quantity but also says "limited quantity." Is it even worth checking?

All Brickseek deals are hit or miss, even when the item shows "in stock". There's no guarantee that the item will be in stock because the item count is based on the store's computer inventory. (Stuff gets stolen, misplaced, or employees grab them. Sometimes floor models and damaged products are counted as inventory too.) Once it goes to "limited stock", your chances are a lot slimmer. But, with a physically large item like this, it seems less likely to be lost/stolen.

Not true, brick seek is always accurate on the pricing and quantity but it's the stores that could have stolen items, wrong typo inventory by workers and etc. I've used brick seek for years and its a hit or miss.

Well my experience has been no matter how large an item is BS has a 50/50 chance of being wrong on stock levels. Actually lately, it's been wrong more often than right on things being in stock. Lots of wild goose chases with all the employees telling me the same thing at different stores. Yadda, yadda, yadda it was probably stolen. Sure. I think the employees stick stuff in the back for themselves. So I would be cautious about driving all over the place to try. My 2 cents.
