Did you use the basket when cooking wings or just the trays? If on the trays, did you need to flip the wings over at all?

It's too bad there's not really enough space to do fries and wings at the same time. I guess a second air fryer is needed, or just cook the fries in a regular oven while air frying the wings.
I just used the trays when cooking wings, 2 trays with the wings spaced apart so air could flow through the trays. Half way through I switched the trays since the top tray with wings was cooking much faster since it sits right below the fan. For the fries I used the basket, made my own homemade fries and coated them in oil like the book suggests, came out nice and crunchy. I've always fried wings in peanut oil for years, I gave up oven cooking wings because they never came out crunchy..if you do it right with an air fryer you really can't tell the difference. Don't think I'll be using oil to fry wings anymore except when I have a large group of people, air fryer is good for 2 or so.

Anyone has issues with moisture build up inside and steam blowing out the door when set around 350s degrees?

I have the Avalon Bay air fryer. It's smaller than the Faberware, 3.7qt. instead of 6qt. It works great and is built pretty well. Wish it was bigger. I have cooked a whole chicken in it but not more than 5 lbs. Threw a bag of frozen broccoli in it tonight. Came out great in only 15 minutes. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Avalon-B...2749.l2649

Quality isnt the greatest, got one yesterday and the rotating wheel is a TOTAL PAIN in the a$$ to open, it also wash super hard to clean.

the Frier is SUPER LOUD and smelled like burned rubber for a little ( i checked and nothing was left in)....

You still have to add a little oil to the food but overall it was OK ... thinking about returning it

EDIT: Local store had like 50 of them, they werent selling well in the store
I've owned mine since BF and have used over 10 times so far. Wheel WAS a pain to open the FIRST time, its been easier after and i believe its because the metal basket & metal lid combo. Spray a little cooking oil and its GTG! It is a durable plastic on the exterior but i think much sturdier and not nearly as flimsy as some of the Air Fryer pull out baskets that tested.

The fryer is loud, but not out of the ordinary for an Air Fryer. If this is your first Air Fryer experience... you can get used to it. Similar to MOST convection oven fans but at spins at a faster rate, thus causing the sound

The instructions clearly advice to initially run the air fryer with the two metal mesh trays and drip tray at 400 degrees for 20 minutes without food to burn off any smells/residue from factory. I also ran the basket separately on another cycle for the same issue. I did have some smell but absolutely NO SMOKE. Just sharing my experience!

I'm sure there will be a lot of newbies to "Air Fryer" technology that assume its going to identical to actual oil frying but in fact its not. When you mist/spray oil(I prefer Olive Oil) on the food that would normally be fried it does give it a similar taste to actually deep frying. I personally LOVE fry food, but this is a much healthier alternative and if you properly season your food, its outstanding!

I think if you can purchase for $59.00, the rotating basket feature & two year warranty makes it a steal and at least worth trying.

I've read a lot of complaints about the size but for the cost, its expected. I would love to find a similar unit with a rotisserie feature that i could also use a rotating basket with as well that doesn't cost $200+

My husband grabbed one at Walmart and it has no manual or anything. Would anyone be so kind as to share any link or anything INSIDE their manual? Smilie I looked online for a bit now... So annoying.

We got to know after calling the store that this is a just a marketing strategy to get people to their website or to their store, the person at the end of the phone at walmart said this. The item is not available in the store as well or you have to look really hard to find it.

They don't even have the option to pick up from store, this shows the 'innovative" used car sales type strategy they are using.

Wow, what a weirdo this person is, LOL. People like this shouldn't post online and embarrass themselves. I will spell it out for you, pn, you will have to read it several times to understand I am sure. The air fryer oven is OUT OF STOCK online and in the stores-do you know what this means????? LOL, no conspiracy theory, Einstein. Just like the Farberware air fryer that was on Black Friday sale in 2016 and 2017-more will come in stock. You just have to keep checking online for it-are you able to do that? I feel so sorry for you, pn, as you are lame.

I bought this on the black friday sale. I had tried the smaller ones but I had to cook in stages since it didn't fit everything. I LOVE this one! I use the cage a lot for roasted potatoes and fries and wings for buffalo wings, etc. I like the rack system too! I have used it for fried fish , pork chops (they turn out perfectly moist!!!!) and meatballs, etc. It is noisy but I have yet to find one that doesn't have a loud fan. You really can't go wrong!!!

This thing looks huge.... why is there like no info on this...lol. Only at Walmart...
Its not that big really. I have a small kitchen and it fits nicely on the counter (I don't put any appliances on the counter if I don't use them more than 1 time a month). The size is actually a nice size.

I got one this evening in store for $59. No idea how well it works yet. It's tall and barely fits under my kitchen cabinets. But it fits.
I've got one too. it just fits but takes up a little room , its nice for fries , I tried cooking battered crawfish in it but the were to dry, I cooked them on 400 that may have been to hot. I did some hushpuppies and they turned out good. I got mine for 59 too. what else do you cook that turned out good in this fryer . ???

Fries and sweet potato fries are best. It toast nuts really well, but it's quick and goes from toasted to burnt in a heartbeat. Oven nachos do great. Biscuits and other baked items don't work out. Reheating egg rolls works.

Amperage = Watts / Volts..
Or 1500w / 110v = 13.64 amps.. Will definitely pop a breaker if it's on the same breaker as a coffee pot or toaster if either are in use with the oven.
I just bought a 15 amp power strip and it pops the breaker on it and its rated at 15 Amp. I don't have a load meter that will go over 10A so I can't test the actual.
I have a feeling the manual is wrong.
