The Lenovo Legion Y7000 is not a competitor to the XPS 15. It has better performance but its dimensions:
14.17 x 10.51 x 0.94 inches and 5.2 lb

The XPS 15 is:: 14.06" x 9.27" x .45-.66" and 4 lb

Different machines for different users.
Dell is pulling the old Apple trick - make it shiny and sleek, drop the specs, and charge more.

For this price, it should come with 16GB RAM and 512FB SSD

That's not a trick. That's just selling a different product. You can choose to buy the Lenovo if that works better for you, but I'm tired of people jumping on every Dell XPS 13/15 deal because they found a laptop with better graphics for $600. Try walking into a meeting with a client with a "gaming" laptop that has a loud fan and multi-colored keyboard backlight; now try it with a "sleep and shiny" laptop. One will make you look like you have a job, the other like you're in college. Again, not relevant to everyone, but this is a high-end professional laptop that also happens to be able to play modest games at modest settings.

Just because someone doesn't like a machine doesn't mean it's not a good price.

Dell XPS line is for video and photo graphing, not built for gaming. I am looking for this XPS with better RAM + HDD. Does any one know if there is another slot for second HDD?

It's dual Channel RAM... Why would anyone ever want a configuration with one stick?
1. RAM is not dual channel or single channel - it's the memory controller that determines support.
2. because real world difference between single and dual channel RAM is between 3-5% performance. for many people, they'd prefer the single 8GB stick and to purchase another 8GB stick rather than having to purchase 2x8GB and then selling the 2x4GB.

Dell's Black Friday deal on the 1080p XPS 15 Dell with 16gb and 512gb will be $1399. That difference seems just about the cost of swapping out the components, so I am going to wait.

Do not buy this computer if you're planning on doing any kind of audio or audio production or audio editing. There is a well-known bug with these models that causes horrible DPC latency and makes it unusable for audio editing and audio production. Read All About It Here:

Yeah but these aren't really business laptops. They are consumer grade. For a real business laptop you want a ThinkPad - which to many looks like a cheap bulky old laptop. And cost well over a thousand bucks.

Edit: I just have to add that I can agree that a flashy backlit keyboard gaming PC might be a turn off for a customer, but if they don't take you seriously because your FAN is loud... that's pathetic.

The skinny-jeaned hipsters can't handle carrying that laptop while sipping their soy-lattes and youtubing at the same time.
