Part of Black Friday deals that are active now. Fairly new SKU that doesn't appear on Gourmia's site itself. 6qt capacity, 1700W power usage.

Does anyone know how this might compare to the Farberware 6‑Quart XL Air Fryer Oven that is in the Walmart BF ad for $59?

I was going to post asking the same. There are no reviews for the model but seems like a better deal.

Looks nice enough - potentially a candidate to replace the toaster oven

I was going to get the 5 quarts gourmia air fryer from Costco for $59 plus tax. Jump on this deal because it's bigger and I had $10 gift card from the insignia Bluetooth speaker deal. Thanks OP very much.
Absolutely loved mine from Costco but it bit the dust today. Maybe it is a sign I need a bigger one...

Someone convince me why I need this.

Someone convinced me to finally buy an Instant Pot on here and I wish I would have years ago.
I wanted one badly for a long time and finally bought one at Costco for $50. This is more overrated than the electric knife was when it came out.

It blasts hot air over your food. If it doesn't have a crust, ie pre-fried or reheated fried food, it will dry your food out. It's nothing more than an aggressive convection oven. And with mine, you must turn the food over as well, or the bottom side will get soggy as the oil or grease drips. And for me, it's a lot more expensive to run at 1500w for 15-20 minutes than my convection oven using natural gas.

But if you're into greasy food, it's awesome...reheats fried chicken great, french fries, crusted fish...yum...good stuff if that's what you eat. Smilie

That said, I'd rather have a convection toaster oven for browning quick meals.

pro tip always fry your food first in oil then switch over to the air fryer, the air fryer should remove the excess oil from your food.

electricity kills the deal, unless you have cheap or free electricity. we have a 15 cents KW here so running this machine will raise my electric bill as well

I only reheat a couple slices at a time anyway for leftovers. Reheating pizza on cast iron is the best though Wink

Is it necessary to clean up inside the unit after each use? Or, do you simply clean the basket?

$9 cheaper and you get to avoid going to the Zoo (don't know how your local Walmarts are).
All jokes aside, do you really want to be a part of BF?

I bought this exact model from bestbuy 2wks ago and have used it somewhere around 10 times and its fantastic! Cooked chicken wings, fries, breaded shrimp, etc and it does a good job. I cooked a whole chicken in it tonight and it came out amazing. Highly recommend based on my own experience with it so far. Also super easy to clean.
How long did it take to cook the chicken?
