Geez, what will they think of next!?

Amazon Subs; Don't want to go to work but have no PTO/Sick days? Have Amazon send a qualified substitute to your workplace in your stead.

This is insane, you are giving random strangers access to open the trunk. Amazon is using independent contractors or basically anyone with a pulse/vehicle/DL to deliver these packages.

what exactly do you think will happen? someone will steal your car? obviously you don't do this with valuables in your car but it's silly to think your car will end up stolen, that's ridiculous.

Have you ever seen the scumbag aka "professional drivers" that deliver packages for Amazon as independent contractors? These guys steal more packages than they deliver in my area.

Are there special drivers for in-car deliveries?
Amazon Key in-car deliveries are carried out by some of the same professional drivers who you trust to deliver your Amazon orders today. These individuals are thoroughly vetted, with comprehensive background checks and motor vehicle records reviews.

just like i said. but not a single one of them has stolen a car but you look down your nose at them. look, some people leave cash and gift cards and mobile phones and radar detectors, gps and all kinds of valuable stuff inside their car in plain sight and in the trunk, power tools, gym bags, clothes and shoes, guns. this program is not for you. instead your sh*t will be stolen by the common criminals because your focus is on stopping the amazon contractors from stealing your sh*t. laugh out loud

I think this is a pretty good service, it allows people who do not have a secure delivery place, to get the box, without extra time to go to a locker.

Thank goodness I live in a secure building, with a safe place for delivered items, so I will not be using the service.

Not just your trunk:

"The delivery driver will first attempt to place the package in your vehicle's trunk. If the package cannot fit due to size, space availability or vehicle model, it will be placed in the vehicle's cabin."

Presumably they've passed a background check. All the other uber and doordash type companies screen people.

I like it as an option for people who live where packages get stolen off the porch. Less risk thatn giving delivery people access to inside the home.
