I bought this soundbar last time this deal came around. Here is a previous thread with some discussion about this thing: https://slickdeals.net/f/12061519-yamaha-yas-203bl-soundbar-with-wireless-subwoofer-and-bluetooth-11...

All in all I am very pleased with this soundbar. I was not looking to spend $400+ for something higher end so I went with this one. It has bluetooth so you can play music on it without the tv on or of course you can stream through your tv to it. I have programmed my tv remote to control this one and those instructions were easy to follow. As far as bang for your buck for a 2.1 system I don't know how you can beat this one. For me it was $118 no tax to my house.

Happy comparison shopping. There is something good and bad about every soundbar but all in all you can't go wrong for this price.

No HDMI ARC as far as I can tell. ARC is the easiest way to hook up for single-remote operation.

That's an awful suggestion, I'm sure you're getting paid to post this crap anyway. The Anker is trash, they make decent $20 Bluetooth speakers but their soundbars are a joke.

Arc should be on TV not sound bar, right?

It shouldn't be an issue for THIS soundbar, because you can program it to accept you TVs remote to control the volume. If it did not have that option you would then want to get a soundbar that has HDMI with ARC( TV also has to to have the ARC function), this allow you to control the volume of the soundbar with the TV's remote. If the soundbar has neither option, you would have to use 2 remotes, 1 for the soundbar and 1 for the TV. This will also work with cable or Direct TV remote, because the soundbar is using the TV's IR code that you already program those remotes with.

Learning Function Allows Operation with the TV Remote Control

The YAS-203 can "learn" the TV remote control signal, so you can use the TV remote control to turn the YAS-203 on and off, adjust its volume, and even control the mute function.

TV Remote Repeater for Signal Transmission

Even if the YAS-203 blocks the TV remote's signal, the TV Remote Repeater transmits the signal to the TV so operation is unaffected.

It should be on both for it to work.

will this yamaha sound better than the VIZIO SB3621n-E8M?

I have an inexpensive vizio now and the sound is decent, but the remote crap and I have trouble sometimes keeping a connection with my TV.

How is the sound quality and how loud it can get? Thinking to chew on this but now sure about sound quality and loudness. I like loud music so is this the right choice?
