it comes with 2 of these. However, 70 bucks for 500GB SD is old news. Hell evo 860 is at this price range too if now lower

Could be nice yes, my intended if i got would to stick in my unraid server as a raid 1 or maybe even raid 0 cache. raid 0 if i also upgraded the nic to 10gbe to take advantage of that speed

Yeah, it's not a great deal, but if you're in the market for one it's good. Prices on these boys have a nice steady trend down.

FWIW - it's a really good SSD, typically one of the best performing for the price.

I have been using these in a RAID-0 since around May, actually. It's my primary gaming drive. You only really benefit from the sequentials but I have two NVMe drives and I shift files/games a lot, so it's worthwhile for that. But you won't really see any performance gains from it (game load times are effectively the same compared to a single drive, as is general OS performance - and yes, I tested it in both configurations). But it's a good secondary/workspace/game drive when striped but you just won't hit the latencies/IOPs with the limitations of AHCI. So if you can't make use of the sequentials then you should just jump up to a single 1TB model.

There was the 1tb version of these on sale @ $120 when I was looking for parts to an itx build.

Unless you want these for some sort of raid, this deal really isn't that great...

I might pull the trigger on this 2x SSD's @$144... Any other budget 500-512GB out there for less, whether it's for one or two bundle.
