Does anyone know how long the battery typically lasts on the ring doorbell 2? Thanks

Their app is worse than Wyze or Arlo or Tend and damn near as bad as Amcrest/Chinese apps. I'm not paying them $30/yr again. Cheaper to buy another doorbell with free recording.

Is this a TC or do you have a specific brand/model?

Most here would probably love to hear about a comparable product with no recording fees.

How much 1 year cloud storage cost? Does it store if we install security cameras as well? I mean, do we need multiple cloud storage plan for each camera
$3 per month

Depends on what you're covering but mine goes about 8 weeks or so.

Another feature I like about Ring is the "Neighbors" part of the app. This allows you to share video and messages to other Ring owners who live nearby. For example, a neighbor posted a video of a guy who had stolen his Amazon packages. I don't know if he was ever caught, but it was nice to be alerted that this was happening even if it was a couple blocks away. You can also set the radius of your neighborhood within the app, otherwise you'll see people sharing stuff from all over town which can make folks paranoid. It becomes a virtual neighborhood watch when there's good amount of Ring users in the area.

This happens automatically after you install the app and add the device. No code or anything. If it doesn't work, you'll know because you'll be pestered by Ring in the app to subscribe to a plan.
Unfortunately, that's what happened to me (after installing the app it didn't add the year to the device and I was offered to upgrade the plan after 30 days)

I don't need the chime, because I have Echo and Fire TV devices throughout the house that can serve as chimes, and frankly it's one less thing I need to plug in!

So if you are in the same situation, this deals comes out to about the same value as the Amazon coupon offer for the Ring 2 only for $110 and buying the cloud storage for $30 separately.

Contact customer support. They're pretty good about fixing stuff like that. I had similar happen when I purchased the floodlight and they resolved it. Didn't even ask for a receipt from Costco.

Thanks for posting. Bought back when it was $160. Will do a rebuy and return
I am in same situation. So I can buy one and just return it against previous order? Or can they just do price adjustment without this hassle?

Either or. As long as the price is the same in warehouse.

Can the chime work with any other sensors & all connected to Smartthings ?
i.e. I put another sensor in garage & chime works with that also (along with door bell).

I would highly suggest paying more and getting the Pro model. I motion sensor on this one sucks and I get false alerts all the time because of cars driving by, and there's not much traffic where I live. Another option is getting the Ring floodlight, which has maybe the best camera.

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up that the ring 2 doorbell's wifi is significantly worse than the first generation. I replaced my ring doorbell 1 with this and wifi signal was terrible to the point of being unusable. Ended up ditching the included chime for a chime pro and that solved my connection issues. The included chime was useless for me so this wasn't much of a bargain... But that's just me...

Are you not worried of the battery/capacitor issues on the pro model? I've heard they last about a year on average and you can't replace it.
