I have the Ring Doorbell 2 (back door) and the Pro (front door). Although they are both supposed to be 1080p, the video quality of the Pro is clearer with more detail. I find the Doorbell 2's video looks "smudged" in comparison. The Pro also has better zone management within the App. You can draw and define zones which trigger the motion detection to begin recording. The Doorbell 2 cannot be customized this way. Instead of drawing a custom zone, there are preset zones in which you set the range (in feet) for motion detection. For example, if you have swaying tree branches in view, with the Pro you can draw a custom zone that excludes the branches lowering false alerts. There's also Smartthings integration for Ring doorbells, so you can set automation to do things like "turn on all front porch lights, only after sunset, if motion is detected."

I really like the features of the Nest Hello and considered that doorbell, but the long term cost was too prohibitive and I'm already invested in Ring's ecosystem. Around my property, I have 2 floodlight cams, 2 battery spotlight cams, a Doorbell 2, and the Pro. I plan to buy the Ring Security System at some point to complete my home security. I urge people to factor in that you are buying into a "system" when deciding on any video doorbell. So take into consideration potential devices to be added on and any subscription fees for them. For my family, the Ring was more cost effective in the long term based on the number of devices. It's $100/year flat fee for all my devices plus any I want to add on in the future. Additionally, for video it's a 60 day recording history through the Ring Protect plan. Whereas a similar setup with the Nest Aware plan would've cost $1050/year with only a 30 day recording history. That's my use case, so YMMV, but something to think about.

No. The recording plan is for 1 device. So you will get 1 year for doorbell and 1 year for floodlight

This is a better deal than their black Friday special? ($40 off) or am I missing something?

How much 1 year cloud storage cost? Does it store if we install security cameras as well? I mean, do we need multiple cloud storage plan for each camera

What's the return policy at Costco for a product like this? If the purchase is made by Costco card, would it extend the warranty by one or two years?

I had bought the package of Doorbell 2 with the Echo Dot from Best Buy yesterday, but i like this deal better with the chime and 1 year cloud recording.

I already have one Ring Floodlight cam, where I also got a year of cloud recording for free (from Costco too).Iif that subscription is already active, can I just add this Ring doorbell to my 1 year free cloud recording for no extra cost? Or is it per device?
Thanks!
