I bought one last year, not a unified receiver.
FYI not sure if it is just me but stopped working on 2 of my laptop but works with my desktop. All systems are on Windows 10.

I keep loosing the unified recievers,, The original k400's came with a extension. I have not lost one of those yet, But I lost a few of the k400plus recievers playing with my Raspberry Pi and android boxes.. I keep thinking I will hold on to the keyboards and They will show up, but....

Buyers beware!
It doesn't use a Unifying USB receiver. It comes with a Nano USB receiver. Also these keyborad and mouse are not compatible with a Unifying USB receiver. A cheaply made mouse and keyboard set! Do not make a mistake.

Bought one of these before, and think it's a junk keyboard set. I don't buy anything less than an MK320 now, which goes on sale for <$20 and doesn't feel as low quality...also includes unified receiver.

Not just you. Bought this keyboard/mouse combo from Newegg at this same price a while back. Worked fine for a bit, and then started flaking out on anything I used it with - desktops, laptops etc (I build and rehab computers as a hobby). Mine already went off to the e-cycle in less than a year.

It must work. But the only thing painful is the relocation of Ctrl/command/function and key...

Yes. I use this with my Mac Mini and it works flawlessly. Highly recommended.
