Regular price $22.99. According to triple camel this is the lowest price it's ever been. I've heard good things about these on other threads.

From the product description:

Aren't the filters for the stages expensive? I have one back in India and the maintainance of the ro system is a hassle. That said, the water quality is significantly different on RO than the refrigerator filter.
about 30/year for the 3 pre-filters and 40 every 4-5 years for the ro membrane. So not horrible considering the water quality.

Don't you still have to replace filters in those systems? How much are they and how often do they get replaced?

re: ro.. if you have crappy water pressure (30-50psi, usually when on a well - like me), you may need a permeate pump too for around $35 to boost the tank fill/pressure. If you're on city water, very likely a non-issue.

Hmm, I buy one on Amazon for the same fitment that has always worked great and it is $32 shipped for 4 or $31 shipped for 3 or the water filters and 3 air filters. Not sure how slick this is... Amazon may make you feel like it's reputable, but I guarantee they just partnered with one of these existing brands and slapped an Amazon sticker on it.

install an RO system and feed it to your fridge's water line. Many times better quality water, and stop buying these overpriced sediment filters.

Where in the world would you keep something like this near the refrigerator? All the photos in those RO systems you linked on Amazon have people storing them underneath the sink and I assume the water temp will only be as cold as your faucet water from the city would be. I can't seem to find where anyone ran a line to a refrigerator and it seems like that would be somewhat of a hassle. How is yours set up?

Are they certified NSF 53? Usually the real cheap ones are not.

I mounted mine in my crawlspace, you could do that or basement. Some people run a line from under their sink to the refrigerator. I just connected the tubing from the ro system to the pex line my builder already ran for the icemaker. The ro system uses standard 1/4" od tubing so you can hook it straight to your fridge. apex does sell an ice maker kit for $15 that is basically a tee and extra tubing.

Most OEM filters are China made as well.
