This is not super hot but decent, these sell for $4.99 at my local asian market -- I live in the mid west so alot of asian products are more expensive as compared to when I lived in the west, so depending on where you live, this may be reg price.

Alternatively: Google express shows walmart having the hot version at $2.57

MSG is perfectly fine. Science proves it over and over.

Making curry roux takes a long time, and it's a hassle. Also, it does not taste any better.
Save time and effort, and just get pre-made.

MSG is in almost all prepackaged food. You'd have to make everything yourself to avoid it. Which honestly isn't a bad idea anyways. Additionally you can't eat tomatoes, grapes, cheese, or mushrooms because, guess what, it's in them too along with a bunch of other foods.

MSG "allergies" is a myth. Chemically it's not an alergan, you physically can't be allergic to it. Some people say intolerant, but there's no science behind that theory either. Look it up for yourselves.

It was started as a racist ploy people used to avoid going to Chinese restaurants in the 50's.

Another lemming that believes the world is flat cause someone said so. SMH.

Look it up for yourself. It's not hard to find. The science is very clear.

3 Tbsp unsalted butter
4 Tbsp all purpose flour (You can use GF flour as well)
1 Tbsp curry powder
1 Tbsp garam masala
¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional for spicy)
MSG or Butter which is worse?

Our local Kroger (Smith's) just expanded their Asian Food sections in both stores and this is $2.89 there when not on sale. I would have never noticed that they expanded if it were not for my kids seeing the Japanese candy so if you have a Kroger it is worth it to check and see if they now carry it.

Making a roux takes a long time.......? /double facepalm
Compared to zero prep time vs 10~20 minute whisking and hovering over your saucepan?

Yes, that takes a long time.
