not worth it if you look at benchmarks. you gain in sequential speeds but random read/writes have no benefit. not to mention if one fails you lose the data on both.

Any reason for paying double for nvme SSDs? I know it's significantly faster than SATA3 in benchmark but does it really affect real life gaming and video editing?

Planning this as system/boot drive - so yes. Too small to hold media for me.

At that price I wouldn't say double...
But there is some noticeable improvement in software loading times and of course when booting up your OS. With the 970, my Win10 PC currently spends most of its time in the BIOS POST screen, after that, it pretty much just shows my login screen, I don't even see the windows loading screen Smilie
As for gaming and video editing, I don't believe your storage media is the limiting factor of performance, as long as you have any decent SSD.
