I got one of these a few weeks back. They are fun but the novelty wore off fast. Now I have a ton of ham me and friends are bored with.

Shallots, machego, fresh sourdough, put together some ham salad sandwiches.

Great in a crossaint with basil or pesto and goat cheese. On top of margherita pizza with arugula and aged balsamic. Or with melon or pear

Ham from Spain and a cheap knife and board from China! My local supermarket has smoked ham leg for $4.99 lb., less when on sale.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that your 4.99/lb ham is not the equivalent of spanish serrano ham. Peace

Honestly i bought this from Costco a couple weeks ago and it tastes very similar to the ham we had multiple times in Barcelona and Madrid earlier this year. To be fair like a few people are saying, it is too much ham and for my northern California climate the skin is drying out too much.

Bought the Iberico last year and this is too cheap to pass up!

Try with melon or crusty bread and manchego! Yum!

To be fair in the stores in Spain you see dried ham legs all the time and in the cafes. I think thats the concept. I remember the Spaniards would just keep slicing from the leg and serve bocadillos. The legs lasts a long time because of the cured state. I can see the concept getting old though.
