Yeah, I refuse to buy anymore ASRock because their crappy support. Had a faulty mobo that would go through a strange boot cycle and after the third boot up it would boot fine. This would happen every single time I turned on my PC, had to go through 3 boot cycles to get it to actually work and I tested all components and it came to be the mobo. Sent it to ASRock and they claimed it was bent CPU pins. Said that if it had bent pins then I wouldn't have been able to POST. They disagreed and charged me to get it fixed. Mobo then died a few months later and decided to scrap ASRock as a whole.

I'm not a big fan of them either, but for that price I had to get one. Don't think any ITX boards on a 450 chip will go much lower.

I would say hopefully it will. But can't say 100% sure since the Ryzen2 is still almost 1 year away from us.

I bought this motherboard recently for a new build and it works great, recommend it. Has some decent overclocking capabilities including running RAM overclocked, not many good enthusiast level MB in this form factor. The built in WiFi is a huge plus for me.

I did have an issue with one of the memory modules that was bad was hard to diagnose. The Motherboard didn't post and there isn't any sort of status LED or anything it just shuts down. There is a speaker header for beeps, but it didn't come with a speaker. So I plugged in a speaker I had from an old MB. Still no beeps. I finally figured out it's the ram that's bad and swap modules. In the BIOS there is a setting to enable beeps, but by default it's off, which seems useless. Even worse, I turned it on and I still didn't hear any beeps on post. I feel like they just being cheap and lazy to not include some status LEDs, a built in buzzer, and maybe a BIOS reset button on a system marketed to enthusiasts. I get that on a board this small space is a premium, but they could have at least done LEDs. I mean there is a header for decorative RGB LED lighting which seems worse than useless.

If you're gonna complete the build before the end of the year, I'd get in on this. Zen 2 will probably be out March of next year, so if you don't need it now, waiting isn't a bad option either.

ITX seems like a pricey commodity to me for something that is only like 1 inch smaller than micro-ATX, yet always much more expensive. But if the goal is to build as tiny as possible, I get that.

But I mean... I bought a new Asrock AB350 microatx for like $40 after MIR (which I got, no problems). Runs my Ryzen 1700 file/plex/vm server just fine.

If Asus was the same price would I buy Asrock... eh, probably not. But I'll pick Asrock any day over MSI, Zotac, ECS, etc. For me, motherboards go Asus -> Gigabyte -> Asrock -> others

AMD has committed to the Ryzen 3000 series / Zen 2 chips continuing to use the AM4 socket so the chipset will support them. Then it comes down to Asrock continuing to support the board and releasing an updated bios to support the new CPUs.
