I have an egg cooker similar to this one and I have used it 2-3 times per week for almost 2 years now. Its fabulous! If you like hard boiled (or medium/soft) then owning one of these is a no brainer! This particular one looks cheap and lame, but whatever...

Why do we have toasters when the oven or stove top works just fine? What an oddly specific appliance. Unless you're a toasted sandwich shop, do you really think you'll toast bread more than once or twice?

Dont buy. I think this is a useless item which you will use only once and twice then you will put it away and forgot you ever have something like this.
Who are you to say what people will and won't use?

I bought another brand that hit SD a few months back, and I use it once or twice a week. The best thing about these things is that they're consistant. Mine cooks the eggs exactly how I want them, without having to get the water bubbling JUST right, or take the eggs off the heat at the exact second.

Can't comment on this particular one, but my Gourmia Sous Vide circulator is going strong after a couple of years.

I have a similar one and the advantage of this is that it cooks eggs in a "Set it, and forget it! " manner.

I used to "boil" a few dozen in the oven. Come out perfect every time.

I use the instant pot sometimes as well.
