I'm not defending newegg, but Amazon is sleazy, and their prices usually suck. The only reason they're dropping the price on the 500gb is to try to take sales from newegg. Their other prices on 1TB, 2TB, etc are crap. and they're not even pretending to compete.

unless all you people want amazon to be the only store you can buy from in the future where you'll pay their crap prices, I'd suggest buying drives (actually everything you can) elsewhere. When amazon is the only place left, there will be no competition and you'll be screwed every time... Personally, I'd like to see amazon broken up......

These will be near $50 in a few months if they're right about the projected NAND and DRAM price crash.

Unless it's a Laptop M.2 overheats and throttles itself.
And most M.2 drives are the same speed as SSD 2.5" drives.
Only Nvme M.2 drives that run on PCI Express X4 lanes really shine.

m2 sata can be but to an enclosure and using like normal 2.5 ssd but you can't put 2.5 ssd to m2 slot.
m2 ssd does produce more heat compare to 2.5 ssd.

Samsung PR Ads. Evo 860 3bit MLC = TLC actually. 1 bit = SLC, 2bits MLC, 3 bits = TLC and lastly 4bits = MLC again (PR Ads)

^ this. I saw title with mlc but no mention of the pro lineup. Will the average user notice a significant difference though — more than likely not
