If not for their terrible app and poor ability to stay connected to WiFi I'd get multiples. Currently own soundtouch 20 and 30 but don't think it's worth investing in Bose anymore due to their inability to develop proper app.

Totally agree.
Sound wise there's not much between these and the Sonos One. The Bose app used to be beautifully simple then they updated it around 18 to 24 months ago and broke it. Every update broke something else.

They just fixed the "play all" feature after more than six months of people having problems getting their speakers to network and play in sync in multiple rooms, which is the basic function of these speakers. I sold mine and went back to Sonos. I absolutely do not trust Bose to not break their software again then just dump support all together.

There's a very long thread on it on the Bose support forums. So long that they had to split it into THREE threads. Awful.

Talk to Bose, I had a speaker battery crap out at 13 months and they replaced the battery for free. They have excellent customer service.

I really want this and it carries a one year warranty but the last Bose referb I bought crapped out at 13 months.

But other than that one I have never had a referb problem... what to do🤔

I actually have multiple soundtouch units in my house and i have never had an issue with connectivity. i wouldn't say their app is anything special, but i also don't have any complaints about functionality.

It's possible that my WiFi router or my Soundtouch 20 is too old as it's original generation. The 30 is newest version but they don't sync well together

that's possible. have you ever connected the units to different wifi networks and/or changed your network setup post bose configuration? the units, even when you "reset" them from the app still retain their previously configured networks. sometimes you have to do an actual hard reset on the devices so the stored network names get wiped and then set them up from scratch at that point. do you currently use an all-in-one modem/router unit? i have found those to be a common source of headache in terms of reliability.

These things put out serious sound in stereo (get two). I bought a refurb set a few years back, rock solid.

I assume this doesn't have google assistance coming for it? I think the sonos has that coming.

So this thing is always on, connected to WiFi. Similar to the google home?

I can play whatever I want from Spotify and stuff at anytime from my phone right. It's always on
