Seeing how HD lists this for $199, I wonder if it could be returned to them for a $199 gift card
That would be fraud.

So the only difference compared to a "new" one from the store is that this does not come in the original box?

M12 or m18 are too nice for job site imho. I had to get new tools that can walk away with less separation anxiety

I'd guess the buyer got a bunch of these from a combo kit deal and is selling separately.

Which one cheaper? Buying tool separately on sale or combo tool kit on sale?

Totally depends on the kit and what you need, there are many.
If you need big batteries for this and other tools, there have been better deals since the battery was heavily discounted.
Most people already have a drill and driver, so those deals are lousy, unless you're switching brands or upgrading from m12.
This is a good price, but if you're always near an outlet, just get a corded one. The battery won't even last a half day on a job.
