Not sure what to do. Would like a new card but not sure if I should wait, buy this, or get the one at bestbuy. I can wait but my current card is almost 5 years old and I need a new one to play current games.

What resolution and frame rate are you aiming for?

I had a 4GB version of this card and it's not my favorite, rather loud and hot even with a cooler that looks capable enough. It bends too with very little reinforcement, no backplate. But it worked :-)

4GB version!? Yikes, that was probably not the best choice, unless of course it was a situation where alternatives weren't really an option (such as late last year or early this year)
The 8 GB variant is certainly going to be better as a general rule, especially if pushing higher resolutions than 720p Wink
Anywho, I know nothing of this actual specific card, just wanted to comment on a 4 GB version of a 580 being something no one should do in the present market as the difference between the two is unlikely to be enough to make the 'savings' worth it.

If you have samsung pay I'd say it's a no-brainer going with the one from Best Buy.

Yeah, it was this spring, when miners killed all the supply. It was an open box RX 580 4GB card for $250 and it was a good deal lol

I have a thick full length copper water block on my GPU, I use a chopstick from my power supply to the bottom of the GPU to stop the sag.
It is very hard for me to make the move on a new GPU cause I will need a waterblock too.
