It does have a backlit keyboard according to the deal specs. I used to not like dvd drives bays but now I use them for caddy's to add another drive. I'd like to see this at a 350 price point considering it doesn't have a touchscreen nor ips. It would be a great device for Qubes with the tpm for anti evil maid.

Bezel on this machine is toooooo thick. I like the newer lenovos (2016+) with minimal bezels. Thin bezels like 14" Yoga have same dimensions as 13.3" dell or 13.3 macbook

Amazon has the same model at higher price, but the specs are more clearly listed there:
https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-V33...B07F2RZZGV

+ Backlit keyboard
+ Optical drive
+ Fingerprint security
+ Windows 10 Professional
+ No touch screen (not essential)
- TN display (TN is low quality display - could be the deal breaker)

How is this not an amazing deal? Lightweight (<4lbs, especially for a 15.6" screen), 256gb SSD, 8gb RAM, i5... what else are you really looking for? This has fantastic specs and price for a basic computer (especially for retired older parents/young grandparents).

This is a nice little laptop, just wish they had it for 399 considering 7th gen i5 and no backlit.
I don't need 8th gen or backlit, but I do need to save $50 more! LOL

Thanks for the comments. I picked one up I was in the market as my old Lenovo was going on 6 years old. SSD sold me as my old one is as well and seems to help the laptop last longer Smilie
