This is a pretty new product in the market. Mesh systems are better than wifi extenders imo. For wifi extenders, every-time you extend your network it cuts your internet wireless speed.

I could not get my phone to connect to this WiFi. Customer support was tough to reach and couldn't figure it out. So I had to return it.

Anyone with experience with this item...I want to get a mesh system and this is cheap if it will cover my house for gaming and streaming with about 10 devices at once with gigabit internet

Got the mw6 3pk last deal on Amazon. Very satisfied, coverage has been great so far and meets my expectations.

I was just evaluating a Tenda wireless device from my desk drawer that was not working, and found a host of people were reporting theirs had died after short periods of time.

Do be aware this is bottom of the barrel quality stuff.

I couldn't figure out what to get my dad for Christmas and this will be perfect. They moved this year and the new house positively eats wi-fi signal. This should cover the entire house easily and the pool. The lack of options and features would make it a no-go for me, but it's a non-issue for their purposes.

Can someone please explain if the aux nodes need physical ethernet cables to connect to the main node? If there is a wireless nodal connections option, how is it better than using a wifi repeater setup?

Easy setup and the wall plug doesn't take much space. Pretty good item.

Only the main node needs a direct connection. Traditional wifi repeaters solves the problem for coverage but heavily effects your wireless speed performance. Mesh systems are the newer networking solution to optimize your wireless speed while getting good coverage.

Thank you. Can you explain how the mesh network with wireless nodal connections is better "optimized?" Do the backhauling connections use different wifi channels or different modulation technology that doesn't compete the bandwidth with the endpoint access bandwidth?
