Home. Not sure why they list it with S mode though. It's not. (or at least my Surface Laptop 2 didn't come with S mode running)

Same as Microsoft Store right? Just from Costco so better warranty and Arc Mouse ($79.99 Value)

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p...verviewtab

Also keep in mind, same laptop can be had for 999 - 10% off student/military/aarp, which comes out to $899.10 for Laptop + $71.99 = $971.09

Which is actually cheaper than Costco by $29 but you have to have student or military discount and don't get Costco Warranty.

Also Keep in mind as of Midnight 11/22 tonight, Microsoft store will be taking off extra on all there higher configurations as well.

+1 for Costco Warranty and ARC Mouse.

It is indeed Home and you get Pro License for $4 on ebay, which is what I did last night with my Surface Pro 6 Smilie

Checked MS store online with my student discount and called the store, both would not let me stack the discount with any sales.

Correct it wont let you stack, but student price is 971.09 which is actually cheaper than Costco, so Costco benefit would be the warranty only. In comparison Microsoft has a Complete Warranty that covers accidental breakage too for $149. It comes down to where you want to buy the device.

Uh the store told me and online showed as $999 for Laptop 2 256gb. Are you sure you're not looking at the 128gb model?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I looked long and hard, I'll buy right away if I can.

the 999$ is for 256gb with discount - you cannot get more discounts on top of it.
The 128gb is also 999$ but thats the actual price so student discount etc is applicable.

I agree - laptop 2 isn't S. only Go is loaded with S which can be switched to full for free.

Nah - 10% off is on 128GB one , this is 256GB which is actually 1299$. So 999$ is discount price and you cannot stack anything on top of it. So its 999$ final, if Costco sells it for 999$ then its great because it has mouse in it.

What is advantage for people to buy this over one of the higher end touchscreen laptops (i5 or i7 with 256 or 512 ssd and in some cases, 12 gb ram) for same or lower price? Is it fashion and portability? I'm asking since I'm considering this but always wary based on the pure specs of the surface.
Thanks
