Recent drop from the average sale price of $14 - Enough for me to pull the trigger on this 'Buy it for Life' tool - Solid 5/5 on Amazon.

Each spark plug socket I've owned (at some point in time), always has the rubber boot dislodged - looking forward to not having to deal with that mess!

Note this is for the 5/8 variant, which is a typical plug size on most autos/small engines.

Maybe if you're doing a lawn mower plug or some other with easy access. Some are very difficult to get to on over head cam and direct injected engines the ball pivot and spring loaded silicone in this design makes them much better for the job. Add the risk of sideloading and breaking a Lazer platinum plug and this is a worthwhile 10$ investment.

Until your luck is like mine and that piece of electric tape falls off and you have a new challenge on your hands.

Was annoying dealing with the 8 spark plugs of my Civic hybrid 2007. Had to use the plastic tubing method after figuring out that all the rubber grips on all my spark plugs sockets were useless. Buying and saving this for future, hopefully stress-free, occasions. Thanks!

Bought this for my Ram based on the recommendation of people on ramforumz and it's a great tool to have and I'm glad I picked it up.

A piece of electrical tape on the side wall of your socket works just as well as the rubber inserts.

I own this socket. Used it to swap spark plugs on my wife's VW Jetta and my Honda Accord. Worked really well!

Nice find. The back plugs on my Ridgeline are a PITA.
