Great deal but I can't seem to check out. The "complete" your order button doesn't show up.

I liked the cheap BB ones with clock so much I bought five. https://slickdeals.net/f/12322252-insignia-speaker-and-alarm-clock-with-google-assistant-24-99-portable-29-99-at-best-buy?v=1&src=SiteSearch I know Insignia doesn't always sound premium but they work and sound great. Great as laptop stereo in pairs or grouping for sonos on the cheap.

I notice a little better clarity and deeper bass in the Google home but not anything to go crazy for compared to the mini.

Difference in number, there's no (or weak) sound below 100 Hz on regular Google Home. For a Mini, the frequency is 200 Hz. If you need bass, buy regular one. If you need deeper, fuller bass, Google Home Max is your choice. Need bass but don't want to spend too much, go with Insignia.

Google's wake words are utter rubbish and aren't picked more than half the time. Alexa is so much better. Also Alexa has the short confirmations, Google is annoyingly verbose.

Google has better voice skills e.g. you can ask it to remember your work address, whereas Alexa asks you to open the app and save it there WTF.

Google Assistant is better at understanding mixed syntax and more complex queries. Combined with the voice it uses to respond, Assistant tends to feel a bit more natural. https://www.techhive.com/article/...-mini.html

Room for improvement in both platforms, it is constantly evolving. I'm enjoying the competition.
