My four and a half year old rides the crap out of hers, which I think came from TRU on clearance for $20 or so. If I had it to do again, I would spend more for a better balance bike. The plastic tires on this are garbage, and the fork needs a bit more rake.

I thought this bike was for a bit older kids by the looks but it says: Age range: 2-1/2 to 5 years.
Nice deal.

I agree - we have this one too and wish I had spent more for a better bike. The tires are crappy and it's on the heavy side.

Seriously. I don't understand these.

Most kids, including my nephew, really like them. Once they get their feet up it can really get going and turning is more fun than a pedal four wheeler and less tippy. Also, if you take your little one biking in a trailer or seat they see you biking and are excited to do it themselves. Without these they wouldn't be on a bike until around 5

FYI I picked up the named brand Stryder for $50 from dicks a couple months ago. Don't how it compares to this. I had gotten one with real tires first and it was too heavy for a two year old.

I got my son (two at the time, now three) one of these for Christmas last year.

He loves, it, lots of miles, and I think he's ready for a bike with pedals now because of it.
