Sorry, didn't notice that. I wonder why they still have it as the special buy of the day.

They list it on the page until the next day regardless if the deal sells out or not.

I was looking at the M18 combo for $349...looks like it's the Gen 2 series? Is the Gen 3 that much better? For instance, the hammer drill is 2704-20 vs the 2804-20...looking to build up my tool collection since the capital investment seems better than hiring a handyman for every single thing. (Yes, new home owner -- renting was a lot easier!) Smilie

I've had my gen2 (maybe gen1?) impact and drill for like 5 years now, the things are amazing. Really impressed with Milwaukee, probably getting their lawn tools too today

i think that if you're OK with the non-fuel impact(450lb-ft torque), the Rigid Deal is better

Brushless Hammer Drill + Impact Driver + 2 Batteries - $199

+ 1/2" Brushless Impact (Free with purchase of above kit)

I myself will get the Ridgid deal for home diy and basic car maintenance. As much as I want the Milwaukee bundle, this speaks better to my wallet. Free parts and service for life with registration is the icing on the cake.
I just got the ridgid set. Agree with all the benefits you have listed. And I saw a video comparing ridgid hammer drill to Milwaukee and the ridgid tool held it's own.

For the price, the 6.5" fuel isn't bad plus it's blade left which I'm used to. Wish milwaukee would come out with a blade left gen 2 fuel.
Blade left vs. right I did not even consider...Thanks for that..... I bought my kid the m18 fuel impact and drill a while back and they are SUPER well made. They blow away our dewalt stuff imo. Now I am looking to get him the circular saw, and looking on ebay, it is crazy confusing. Im trying to figure out if the 7.25 is a big upgrade over the 6.5... And even within that I am seeing a few different model numbers and cannot figure out the difference...

I'm guessing either would be great if the saw is as good as the impact driver, but is the 7.25 worth the extra $$. These are daily use tools on a construction site. Advise appreciated.

For daily use on a construction site the 7.25 is probably worth it. Main advantage will be blade availability (more variety, versatility, and probably cheaper prices), and having that extra cut deep can be crucial if he happens to need it.
You see several models because there are 2 gens of m18 milwaukee fuel 7.25 circular saws, and also 1 or 2 gens of the non fuel saw, and because, even within each gen, model number might vary slightly depending on the included accesories.
