Chase is giving $5 Starbucks e-gift card for using their new e-gift feature. I sent a $5 Starbucks e-gift to my daughter using the Chase app and was very surprised to have received a free $5 Starbucks e-gift for myself! Just make sure you have a Chase checking account, enroll in quick pay, and then just send the e-gift. Hurry up though, it says it's for "first users of Chase new eGift feature"

Must be some kind of test market or targeted thing. In my app, there is nothing at all called "Gifting" under the left hand menu.

Worked! Offer not mentioned anywhere but followed the directions outlined.
1.Make sure quick pay is set up (this requires a checking account)
2. Open chase app and find "gifting" on the menu bar.
3. Gift Starbucks card and load with $5 to a recipient.
4. Receive email within a minute saying you received $5 gift card for immediate use.

Work for me. First time send a gift card from Chase app. Paid from checking account. Received email "Thank you for using Chase to send a Starbucks eGift Card. Here's a $5 Starbucks eGift Card for being one of the first users of Chase's new eGift feature. This is limited to one per customer only."

What/where is Chase e-gift? I can't find any reference to this on the app or website.

I enrolled in Quick Pay first, but that doesn't seem to be a necessary step to send the e-gift as it is just funded by the checking account?

I enrolled in Quick Pay first, but that seems to have nothing to do with the eGift feature and that step can be skipped.
I am enrolled in the Zelle/quickpay thing, absolutely nothing in there about gift cards.

I can also confirm that it worked. By the way, I gifted $10 and still got the free $5 card.
