BenQ has Refurbished Projectors on sale. I listed a few prices below after 20% off coupon code BENQ20. But I think the coupon may apply to all refurbished on stock, so look around. Shipping is free.

Prices after BENQ20 code:

BenQ HT2050St – 1080P Short Throw gaming projector, 2200 ANSI Lumens, 96% Rec. 709, (Refurb) $557.60
BenQ HT3050 27" 1440p Video Editing Monitor (Refurb) $557.60
BenQ HT9050 laser 4K Pro Cinema Projector DCI-P3 HLD LED - Refurbished $2397.60

All refurbs come with 1 Year Limited Warranty, 80%+ Lamp Life.

PS First time trying to post one of these, sorry if I don't get it right. Cheers.

The only experience I have with this is when I was testing the 2050a when it first arrived. I had it temporarily setup in a room with two large windows and a bay window with cellular shades. The shades don't block light as much as they diffuse it... I have to say I was surprised that it looked as good as it did. I was able to play some games and watch movie clips without issue. Very dark scenes could be hard to see fine detail, but otherwise it was okay. If the wood blinds are opaque I think you'll be okay playing games with some light sneaking through the cracks. The image definitely won't pop like it would at night, but it should still be nice.
Thanks for the information !!

Any thoughts on the viewsonic PX700HD for $400 compared to the MH530FHD? I have the viewsonic on backorder right now, but I'm considering cancelling and picking this up.

I was just able to pick up a refurb TK800 for $893 after the coupon. Doesn't seem like a bad deal for a quasi 4K projector.

i recently just returned the px747 while i was very impressed with the pseudo 4k i was not what i was hoping for and given the lumen count is high on the px747 the colors are a little washed out, which makes me think that 4k projectors are still in the works especially since even the mid tier projectors use pixel shifting. unless you are willing to shell out 2k+ for a "native 4k" projector i was hoping this benq would suffice for crispy 1080p at least, does anyone have this projector?

Yeah, I am torn too. Obviously I can't afford a true 4k projector right now but I didn't want to spend $500 bucks on a decent 1080p projector to replace my 8350. If I could have gotten one of the benq refurbished w1070's in stock at $207 I would have jumped at it and waited for prices to go down but as it is, i'd rather spend a little more and get fake 4k. We will see how I like it once I get it though.

First projector experience Frown. Bought MH530FHD from benqdirect and I was sent different projector with labeled MH530FHD. Native resolution is only 800 x 600 also casing says SVGA. Just sharing notes if someone with not experience with projector might miss that. I hardly catch this after two weeks.

Ordered a MH530FHD earlier this year and is excellent imo for under $400.

This is still live, btw. Models go in and out of stock. I just picked up the MH530FHD but noticed there were others in stock as well. Repped!
