So.... You don't have a game system or streaming box? I never use the smart features of a tv.... They are always out of date and besides, I like to upgrade the smart parts every couple of years. It's just better that way, to me, and more economical than replacing an entire set.

Yeah those smart functions are awesome in 2-3 years when you are stuck with a barely functional app because your "built-in" smart functions were pretty outdated before you even purchased the tv. A $30 roku or fire stick is going to run any of those apps better than what's built into any of these TVs.

Paid 259.99 in late October or early November. Just called Walmart and they refunded me $30 for the price difference. For what I paid, you can't beat the TV. Honestly, it's silly to bash it at this cost.

Is it worthy to return my BF Westinghouse 50" ($199, https://www.bestbuy.com/site/west...Id=6254811) and get this one?

Legitimate question, why is smart a deal-breaker for you? I pretty much only use my TV for playing movies from my laptop, so I've literally never even attempted to look at smart TVs. I also own a chrome cast but I haven't bothered to use that either in years.

Chromecast is the best. Check out Videostream or Plex. Both are free.

I personally own this TV and purchased it through Walmart as well. I ended up getting it around this price due to "courtesy credits". I had to return the darn thing twice because of the sheer amount of dead pixels on this TV. The last one I received only has a few dead pixels and are only noticeable up close. On the other hand, this is a great-sized TV for the price, it's not smart but most people use a streaming box anyways, and despite its flaws is a great bang for the buck.

Can you confirm it has a built in tuner? Everything I've found online seems to indicate that it does.

That's correct. I do not personally use it, but have seen the option in settings. Hope this helps! Smilie
