Killer deal - if I hadn't just gotten an open-box ASUS I'd be all over it.

It's a good price for this laptop. But other laptops can be had from Dell and Lenovo with comparable specs (ignoring 120hz screen) for about 1k frequently.
I'm just offering a possible explanation for the down votes

$999 is a good price for like a Dell G7 or something, but those have terrible screens, Max-Q GPUs and they still overheat. MSI has far better build quality (almost like an alienware or ROG Strix imo) This has a 120hz screen that wipes the floor with most other ~$1K i7/1060 systems, and also has a Steelseries per-key RGB keyboard. These usually go for ~$1500ish

from a price point prespective, this laptop was $599.99 a few days ago.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DY11M1F

8750H/8gb/1050 Ti/256GB SSD.

So you are paying extra $600 for 8gb of ram, upgrade to 1060 from 1050TI and 1tb of hdd.

8gb of laptop ram is around $55
1tb hdd is around $43
so essentially you are paying extra $500 to upgrade to 1060 and 120hz screen.

The cooling on this is incredible and it should have one of if not THE best 120hz panel you can get on a laptop with 89% Adobe RGB and 100% sRGB

FX is Asus lowest of their low. The MSI Raider is near their top for gaming.

It might not mean anything more to you then specs but the real life difference between the two is huge.

Build quality
RGB crap
Better keyboard
Thermals are drastically different and that alone will sell itself.

I bought this at costco at $1399 last week, even at that price it's a great laptop. This just sweetens the deal! The build quality is very good, RPG keyboard is mesmerizing, 120hz is legit. Great portable gaming laptop. Comes with 90 days return policy from Costco too, so if you find anything cheaper you can go ahead and return it without questions Smilie
