Grabbed a box of these at my local (New Haven, CT) Lowes today. A big YMMV, as even the Lowes page for New Haven shows them OOS, but they had a pile of about a dozen on the floor not more than two hours ago.

Veterans discount or other codes make it even sweeter (I'm a vet, but used a $10 off $50 code).

Saw them in store, price looked good, but not comfortable at all. Feels like you're leaning forward. The saddle stools are a better buy.

Any links to the saddle stool? I actually bought these last weekend at $80/set. Rebought today for this price.

With a filler and 10$ off it came to $42.xx. As for comfort, I wonder if it's in how they're assembled/tightened? Worst case will be a return

I went to my local Lowe's and they were right when you walk in for clearance atleast 10 of each item posted. They had display models and I purchase the saddle cause it's more steady. The swivel chair sucks when sitting

Yeah, those reviews just saved me the trouble of bringing them home, unpacking, assembling, testing, un-assembling, re-packaging and taking them back.

The ratings are low. Mainly complaints about them being uncomfortable!

My lowe's has pair for 49. But pass for bad reviews, don't want to throw away money for something this bad quality

Padding too thin or just the angle of the chair?

Bought these for a vacation house. Assembled in about 30 minutes and they're not super comfortable but they feel steady and they look great (better than the saddle ones at least).
