How does this compare to the gold standard - DJI Mavik Pro, Mavik 2, and AiR?

Seems for this huge amount I wouldn't play games with some rando company.

That's helpful to know, thanks. Still think it's too pricy to roll the dice on because of how complex all the software and apps need to be for a drone to be truly great.

Maybe someday DJi will have real competition but it seems like it'll be a long time before that happens.

Unfortunate because DJi support is ATROCIOUS ! My drone was missing blades when I got it new from Costco, but they wouldn't believe me. Could've returned it to fabulous costco but, that would've taken more time before I could fly, so I swallowed it and now just hate the way DJI does business.

Anyways, sorry about the rant and thanks for providing helpful information about this!

Autel is a very serious contender. I own several DJI (Mavic Air, Mavic 2 Pro, and Spark). Evo is a really polished piece of equipment. Still a few refinements coming but which company hasn't had the need for firmware updates..?

I took a gamble and pulled the trigger on this bundle. I'll let you know how it works out.

At this point, DJI is so far ahead, if Autel can't come down to half the price of a Mavic, they can't compete at all. I do wish for some serious competition too but this is clearly not going to cut it. You can't just walk onto the scene and price gouge like dji.

Ah after looking at YouTube videos, I decided to get one. I wanted a mavic pro 2, but I couldn't justify spending almost $2k on what I just got for a little over $1200... it seems that there have been a lot of tweaks the company has performed since it was released earlier this year according to a video that was posted on YouTube on 12/03/2018.

Wellbots is drop shipping the package. I confirmed with UPS that my package was sent direct from Autel Robotics in Bothell, Washington. It's still on schedule to be here on Monday.

As an owner of a Mavic Air, a Spark, and a few other drones I'll weigh in. I like this better than the Air. It has longer flight time and has better range. The Mavic Pro has much better range, but worse video. The MP2 is better, but more expensive.

Autel's customer service is top notch. However if you have an iOS device, their Apple app lags behind. They are constantly tweaking the firmware and it's close, but not perfect yet. All told this is my 'daily' flier, but the real flight time is about 22 minutes, not 30. The pictures/video are great, but are also on the Air. The most important thing is DJI drones will prevent you from flying around me, and this one won't, plus the Air flight time sucks (lucky to get 14 minutes out of a battery.)
