Age doesn't matter here. The form factor hasn't changed, and this case has all the common front panel connectors.

It's built well, quiet, compact enough, and it accommodates aio water cooling, normal psu, and a large video card.

I just delivered a simple build in a Fractal Core 500. It fit comfortably in the space I had, and it accommodated a DVD drive the buyer wanted. I could have built in half the volume if it weren't for that drive, but in this case the Core 500 was right for the job. They don't have to discount it just because it's "old."

And what do you expect to change on a computer case. It's not like a car or processor or technology that changes rapidly. This is a very good and solid built case as well as being quiet that does everything people need it to do. A large case gives the extra room that some need and want and even more importantly the larger the case the better the cooling which extends the life of the electronics. It is worth $55, there are cases costing more that are much less functional and cheaper made.

SD community really likes to promote this GIANT case thats what, 4-5 years old now? It's not worth 55.
They're still well-built, which is why there is a techie following, even after 4-5 years. What's your recommendation for a case:
1) Same level of quality but cheaper
2) Same price but higher quality

I'm looking for a sale for the non-window version. I like the dust filters for these cases

Says you,so you say it's not worth it and everyone should stop promting it.What is next you don't like excercising so you tell everyone to stop promoting it.

Fine you think it cost to much, that is your opinion. The case is fair priced, well built and you don't get that many in the price range.

Last if your going to comment about it costing to much at least back it up with a better product that does the same for cheaper.

Oh my goodness this case is HUGE in PERSON.

My advice, look at it on YouTube.

Now the Dan Case A4 or the Loque Ghost S1 is the cases that were really need deals on.

You are really going to compare a mid-$50 plastic and thin sheets of steel itx case to a premium aluminum (Dan A4) or steel (Ghost) case?

That is like comparing a budget car to a premium luxury car.

Even if those premo cases goes on sale, they are still going to be 3x the price. It very unlikely those cases will go on sale since the profit margin for them are so little already due to low volume and having Lian-Li manufacturer them. Not sure exactly who is manufacturing the ghost case but it is most likely the same situation as Dan A4.

The price of $55 is right for this case.

can't decide whether I want this case. The Cougar QBX looks nice but OOS everywhere, and Fractal Core 500 might be the next choice for a little smaller. This is a bit on the big side.
